....I'll probably just get married at the zoo
No new news on the wedding front....hopefully by next weekend when my parents come out and we look at reception/ceremony sites, we'll figure out when and where this wedding will be.
In the meantime, however, life has been quite interesting. Yesterday I tried snowboarding again...and I actually spent the majority of my day IN AN UPRIGHT POSITION!!!! (I had lessons at the start of my day from a goofy-footed girl like myself with another friend who had never tried snowboarding before...so we were both bad together and that helped) It was so nice, and I didn't even have to use my shiny new health insurance.
Work was rough on Saturday, 2 of the girls ran away, and one was running away but I talked her out of it. She's upset because she hate's being at St. Joe's (some of the other girls brutally make fun of her...and it isn't home) but her mom doesn't want anything to do with her for a variety of reasons and her dad doesn't want her to stay with him because he doesn't trust her anymore since she got pregnant. After he forced her to get an abortion he kicked her out. She hates school because A) she's a grade behind B) everyone talks about her and C)another girl and her gang wants to kill her because she's in an opposing gang (by blood...the rest of her familiy is in it so she is automatically in it whether she wants to be or not). She's also been kicked out of the last 4 foster families she's been with for fighting.
What do you say to such an angry girl?
oy.
I wonder if she'll still be there when I get back on Tuesday...I hope so.
The concept of praying continually is not so hard to comprehend now.
